About Haemoglobinometer (Sahli's)

Haemoglobinometer (Sahli's)

Laby offer the haemoglobinometer square tube type

The kit consists of following standard setup:
 Comparator Holder: -1 Nos.
It is black in colour. The back of the holder is fitted with milky colour screen made of acrylic. In front of the holder there are three windows. The two side windows are fitted with colour comparison. The size of all the three windows are Height 3 cms. (MInimum) Width 0.5 cms. (MInimum)

Square H.B. Tube: -2 Nos.
Square H.B. Tube is graduated on both the side for
the measurement of haemoglobin in respect of
percentage and gram.

H.B. Pipette -1 Nos.
20 microlite H.B. Pipette with latex tube and mouth piece
Amber coloured glass bottle -1 Nos.
Glass Stirrer -1 Nos.
Dropper with teat -1 Nos.
Cleaning Brush -1 Nos.
Spare latex tubing one meter -1 Nos.
All the above are fitted in thermoform tray. Further packed in plastic box.

Note:

H.B. Tube is graduated and is calibrated with 2 colour standards fitted to color comparator.
The inner dimensions of Glass Tube vary from tube where as our tubes is made of polycarbonate and moulded thru DIE. Hence in all the lot, the inner dimensions of tube is same.
So, if HB tube made of Glass is broken, the whole HB meter is spoiled where as our H.B. Tube is unbreakable and is made of polycarbonate with long life.
Further 2 nos are supplied with each HB meter

Direct Visual Comparison for Accurate Hemoglobin Measurement

This Sahlis Haemoglobinometer features a colorimetric comparator block, enabling precise direct visual comparison of blood samples with a standard color scale. With 0.2 g/dL graduation intervals and a measurement range of 224 g/dL, results are both clear and accurate, making it reliable for routine laboratory use.

Durable and Easy to Maintain

Designed with chemical-resistant materials, the haemoglobinometers components withstand repeated cleaning and laboratory handling. The included pipette, stirrer, and graduated tube are crafted for long-term efficiency. The device comes in a sturdy plastic case to ensure safe storage and portability.

FAQs of Haemoglobinometer (Sahlis):

Q: How does the Sahlis Haemoglobinometer with comparator scale work?

A: The Sahlis Haemoglobinometer measures hemoglobin concentration by mixing a blood sample with a reagent in a graduated tube and visually comparing the resulting color with a calibrated comparator block. The color intensity reflects the hemoglobin level, which can be read directly from the scale.

Q: What is the process for measuring hemoglobin with this device?

A: To measure hemoglobin, add a specified amount of blood using the 20 L pipette to the diluting solution in the graduated tube, mix thoroughly with the 12 cm stirrer, and compare the color to the scale on the comparator. The hemoglobin value is then read from the 0.2 g/dL graduation intervals.

Q: When is it appropriate to use the Sahlis Haemoglobinometer?

A: The device is ideal for routine hemoglobin estimation in laboratories where rapid, manual, and direct measurement is required. Its suitable for diagnostic use in hospitals, clinics, schools, or mobile lab setups, especially where electricity may not be available.

Q: Where should the haemoglobinometer be stored when not in use?

A: Always store the haemoglobinometer in the supplied protective plastic case in a dry, ambient temperature environment. This protects the components from dust and physical damage, ensuring accuracy and durability over time.

Q: What are the benefits of using a manual Sahlis haemoglobinometer over automated devices?

A: Manual operation allows for use in locations without power supply and reduces maintenance complexity. The device is robust, portable, and cost-effective, providing direct visual readings without the need for electronics or complex calibration.

Q: How should the Sahlis Haemoglobinometer be cleaned after use?

A: After each use, clean the graduated tube, stirrer, and pipette thoroughly using appropriate chemical-resistant cleaning agents as recommended for laboratory glassware. Dry all parts before storing them in the case to maintain hygienic and operational integrity.
