About Dissection Microscope (Entomological)

Dissection Microscope (Entomological)

Heavy round base with a precisely designed body, providing convenience for easy lifting and movement. Sensitive focusing is done by rack & pinion moving on a lapped dovetailed guide way with a stopper to limit the download movement. A joint revolving arm is provided for moving high eye point lenses over full area of the stage. It is easily replaceable by a special BULL EYE LENS 83 mm diameter, to increase the field of vision. A planoconcave mirror below the stage provides sufficient illumination in daylight or under artificial light. Complete packed in a sturdy wooden carrying cabinet, with provision for placing the hand rest, bull eye lens.
  • Optics: - Eye piece 10x and 20x & special bull eye lens 83 mm diameter.
  • Object Stage Size: -100 mmx100 mm with glass plate. Packed in wooden box.

Precision Magnification for Accurate Observation

Outfitted with two interchangeable objectives (10x and 20x) and a 10x wide field eyepiece, this microscope ensures detailed visualization of specimens. The combination offers flexibility in magnification, allowing users to switch seamlessly depending on the complexity of the study, which is essential for both educational and professional laboratory work.

Durable Build for Long-Lasting Performance

Built with a robust metal base and brass components, the microscope is designed for consistent, vibration-free observation. The powder-coated finish enhances its resistance to wear, making it an excellent investment for busy laboratories, educational institutions, and research facilities.

Versatile Illumination and Manual Ease of Use

Adjustable plane and concave mirrors provide customizable lighting conditions, allowing both reflected and transmitted light observations without electrical power. The manual rack & pinion focusing ensures precision and simplicity, suitable for users seeking dependable, hands-on control over their specimen examination.

FAQs of Dissection Microscope (Entomological):

Q: How do I change the magnification on this dissection microscope?

A: To adjust magnification, simply interchange between the 10x and 20x objective lenses provided. These objectives, combined with the 10x wide-field eyepiece, allow for two standard levels of magnification designed for efficient entomological and biological specimen viewing.

Q: What types of specimens can be observed with this microscope?

A: This dissection microscope is suitable for the observation of samples in entomology, botany, and zoology. It excels at viewing insects, plant tissues, small animals, and other similar specimens within a laboratory environment.

Q: When should I use the plane mirror versus the concave mirror?

A: Use the plane mirror when working with well-lit environments or thin, transparent specimens for transmitted light. The concave mirror is better suited for directing and focusing reflected light onto opaque or larger samples, especially in lower ambient light conditions.

Q: Where can this microscope be effectively utilized?

A: This model is ideal for laboratories, research facilities, and educational institutions across India that require accurate, non-electric optical observation. Its robustness and portability also make it suitable for field studies where power sources may be limited.

Q: What is the process for focusing specimens on the stage?

A: Position your specimen securely using the clips on the fixed square stage. Then use the rack and pinion focusing knob to bring the specimen into sharp focus. Adjust the mirrors as needed for optimal illumination before observation.

Q: What are the benefits of the durable powder-coated finish and heavy base?

A: The durable powder-coated finish protects the microscope from scratches and corrosive elements, ensuring a long service life. The heavy, stable base significantly reduces vibrations, maintaining image clarity and reducing observational errors.
