About WIMSHURST STATIC ELECTRICITY GENERTOR

A good electrostatic generator. Can produce spark up to 3 under favorable weather conditions. Two circular, 24 cm, acrylic plates have aluminum sectors pasted on their surface along the rim. Plates mounted parallel to each other and rotated with a handle and belt system in opposite directions. Jointless rubber belts with circulator cross- sections for smooth running. The static charge generated is conducted to a pair of Leyden jars through metal brushes and gets accumulated on the pair of the ball-shaped discharges. When the potential build up between the two dischargers is sufficient high, a transfer of charge takes place in the form of an electrical spark that jumps from one ball to another. Spark produced intermittently by the continuously rotating plates. Complete apparatus mounted on a wooden base. Earthing terminals for leyden jars. With instruction.
