About TUNING FORK, ELECTRIC

For producing wave motion in strings, Meldes experiment and other experiments in wave motion. Steel tuning fork with fixed in a cast metal clamp with nuts, spring control and magnetic damping. Basic movement of meter calibrated to 5mA, 100mV. Long, pointer, needle, with thick arrowhead for clear visibility from a distance, moves on hardened and polished steel pivots and jeweled bearings. Mounted is sturdy, plastic frame with transparent front and back windows. One side of frame has color-coded, 4mm socket terminals and a slot for inserting or removing scales; other side has zero adjustment knob for locking pointer needle. Any one removable, large scale with graduations on both sides can be selected from demonstrates meter.

Stable and Reliable Frequency Output

Engineered for consistent and accurate vibration, the electric tuning fork maintains its set frequency electrically, minimizing drift and manual recalibration. Its robust stainless steel body and bakelite base ensure long-term durability and stable performance, even during extended laboratory sessions.

Simple Operation and Flexible Power Options

Using the tuning fork is intuitive: a switch mechanism activates the sound generation whenever the device is powered. The instrument accepts both DC and AC voltage (6V DC or 220V AC), enabling flexible installation in diverse laboratory settings. All necessary accessories, including a power cord and user manual, are provided for straightforward usage.

FAQs of TUNING FORK, ELECTRIC:

Q: How does the electric tuning fork generate continuous sound in laboratory settings?

A: The device generates continuous sound by maintaining its vibration frequency electrically once powered ON via the switch. This ensures a stable, uninterrupted output suitable for various scientific measurements and demonstrations.

Q: What is the frequency accuracy of the electric tuning fork, and can it be used for calibration?

A: With an accuracy of 1 Hz at standard frequencies of 100 Hz, 256 Hz, and 512 Hz, the electric tuning fork is ideal for calibration tasks and precise frequency applications in laboratory environments.

Q: When is it appropriate to use this tuning fork indoors and what environments are recommended?

A: This electric tuning fork is designed for indoor application, specifically in laboratory settings. It performs best in spaces with ambient temperature up to 50C as outlined in its operational specifications.

Q: Where should the tuning fork be mounted for maximum stability during use?

A: For optimal results and safety, the device should be positioned on its dedicated bakelite base, which delivers reliable, stable mounting on laboratory benches or workstations.

Q: What process should be followed for operating the tuning fork?

A: To operate, simply connect the power cord to an appropriate power source (6V DC or 220V AC), place the device on its base, and switch it ON. Consult the supplied user manual for detailed operational guidelines and maintenance tips.

Q: Which accessories are included with the electric tuning fork and what is their benefit?

A: The product includes a power cord and a user manual. The cord ensures easy connection to a power supply, while the manual delivers essential setup, operation, and troubleshooting instructions to maximize device performance.
