System to Study Free Fall, Mechanical Gates
Similar to the above, but uses a mechanical gate in place of optical gates for the time measurement. The release of ball from the solenoid at the top starts the chronometer and when the ball strikes the metal plate of the mechanical gate near the bottom, the chronometer stops giving the time interval of the ball for traveling the vertical distance between the point of release and the position of the gate. Supplied with chronometer & Electromagnetic Control Box and instruction manual.
