Waveform Helix (Slinky): For demonstrating wave motion. Helical coil of diameter 8cm approx of flat section wire.

The springs are of different diameters 2cm and 8cm approx. But when linked, the reflected and transmitted pulses at their boundary have nearly equal amplitudes. They can also be used separately for simple wave studies.
