About MOMENTS PLATE APPARATUS

Shown on top of Force Table, no. 1874. An attachment for use with our force Table, useful for study of static equilibrium of a rigid body under the action of forces, all in the same plane, Two 25-cm aluminum discs of thickness 8mm are separated by 3 steel balls. A removable peg in the lower disc protrudes through an enlarged opening in the upper disc. Thus, the upper disc is free to move horizontally until constrained by the peg. The upper disc has several holes of take pegs whose positions can be changed. The disc arrangement is mounted on top of the force table. Included are 2 aluminum discs, set of 4 metal lugs to fit holes on the upper disc set of 4 strings with metal rings at both ends, 3 ball bearings, and arrangement for raising the pulley brackets to compensate for the height of the plate attachment, instructions included.

Precisely Machined for Accuracy

Constructed from precision-machined steel and hardened components, the Moments Plate Apparatus offers reliable accuracy for every experiment. The engraved and easy-to-read scale gradations help ensure students and researchers achieve exact measurements when exploring the law of moments.

Durable and User-Friendly Design

The powder-coated plate, anti-rust finish, and cast iron base deliver long-lasting performance in demanding laboratory environments. Adjustable load pans and a disassemblable setup facilitate ease of use, maintenance, and storage, making the apparatus an efficient choice for both teaching and testing.

FAQs of MOMENTS PLATE APPARATUS:

Q: How do I assemble and set up the Moments Plate Apparatus for experiments?

A: Simply follow the detailed instruction manual included with the apparatus. The core componentsmoment plate, fulcrum, arm, weights, support standcan be easily fitted together. Its disassemblable design ensures straightforward assembly and preparation for use in laboratory settings.

Q: What materials and features contribute to the apparatuss accuracy and efficiency?

A: The apparatus incorporates precision-machined steel with a powder-coated, anti-rust finish, a hardened steel knife-edge fulcrum, cast iron base for vibration resistance, and engraved scale markings. These features collectively guarantee 100%% measurement accuracy and high efficiency during experiments.

Q: When is this apparatus typically used in educational settings?

A: The Moments Plate Apparatus is commonly used during physics and mechanics laboratory experiments to verify the law of moments. It serves both instructional and testing purposes, helping students understand the principles of equilibrium and rotational forces.

Q: Where is the Moments Plate Apparatus manufactured and supplied from?

A: This apparatus is manufactured, supplied, and traded in India, ensuring compliance with quality standards and reliable support for local laboratories and educational institutions.

Q: What is the process for performing a moment-verification experiment with this apparatus?

A: First, assemble the apparatus and position the weights on the adjustable pans according to the experiments requirements. Use the easy-to-read graduated scale to measure distances and confirm equilibrium conditions by evaluating force and moment balances across the fulcrum.

Q: What are the benefits of using a manual, non-powered Moments Plate Apparatus for laboratory work?

A: The manual design provides better hands-on experience, allowing learners to directly manipulate variables and observe results. Its efficient, robust build ensures long-term use, repeatable results, and minimal maintenance without dependence on external power sources or automation.
